Alison Waller

Alison Waller is Senior Lecturer at the University of Roehampton, where she convenes the MA in Children’s Literature by distance learning. She  published Constructions of Adolescence in Fantastic Realism with Routledge in 2008/2011, has written articles on adolescence and young adult authors, and is editor of the Palgrave New Casebook on Melvin Burgess (2013). Her other main research interest is the role of memory in reading and writing. She is writing on the portrayal of consciousness and memory in young adult literature and is currently working on a project investigating the practice and processes of adults remembering and rereading childhood books.
